sincere thanks folks, friendly manager set it up after being assured that not using DUN for portable.... (did mention no way of checking if used as modem with N95);)
Now dare I re flash....

apologies I know pairing has come on numerous occasions but advice required.
Techy from back office tried to pair my N800 with N95. He used his own sim card which was enabled for DUN and made...

I have TT ver 3 and although it will pair with N800 unable to get it to work with MM.
Had old Fortuna Clip on which worked a treat, now trying without much success to get Zycast SG289 data logger...

I have been unable to get either Tomtom 1 ver 3 with BT enable to pair with n800 (2008) or SG289 data logger.
Maemo mapper will not find them and although N800 can see them will not pair...:(

I have just bought Zycast 289 data logger, same principle as above but whilst N800 can see 289 it is unable to pair and yes i have checked passcode.
I thought BT was a standard and everything should...

Yep lost a few hundred miles of data for openstreet maps over last few weeks.
Usually crashes out when saving, however to day no probs, changed my routine to saving same file name at short intervals...

Considering that http://www.sibelius.com/documents/index.html started life on ARM3 ? many years ago on Acorn A3000 desktop I would have thought it more than possible to do something on N800.

Thanks for link, successfully uploaded first couple of tracks :) and so far only using N800.
