You realise that this is all unfounded speculation, right?

What you previously said, hasn't (yet) been proven true in this case. I don't think it will happen, because I don't think WP7 makes sense for Nokia. Microsoft has a few areas where it does well, and it has many more where it tries and f's up, the mobile market is not an area where MS has done particularly well (anyone remember the Kin?), it would be a bad move for Nokia to adopt WP7. It might benefit MS, but not Nokia.

So it seems what people here (maemo.org) want the most in their next smartphones is: (most to least favoured)
1) MeeGo
2) Maemo
3) Android
4) WebOS
5) iOS
6) Windows Phone 7
7) Symbian
8) RIM
9) Windows Mobile

The consensus (here) generally agrees that dropping MG for WP7 is a horrible thing to do .....I do have to agree

(damn it Nokia really needed to acquire Palm and get MeeGo out before Dec 2010)

You're a bit off if you're going by what people are actually buying and this group here is not indicative of the market - found that out a long time ago.

Apparently, so did Nokia.

oh cmon do people here really beleive Nokia do decide after how some geeks in this forum want it to be?

Right now WP7 would be very well the way they go especially if the new board is Microsoft friendly... and this ofcourse bad for those feww of us that still beleive Meego is the best solution...
