xsnow works, i installed it from the repos,
its pretty cool to show friends
just click the menu icon and snow falls on the current desktop

So, I noticed that Live Wallpaper 0.5 is in extras-testing now...

Bug:

After reboot the activated wallpaper is no longer there (Matrix)..
