Hi,

has anyone managed to get the n900 working as a client to an upnp-server ?

I have massive problems getting "pictures" streamed, streaming music is not a problem.

I own a buffalo linkstation (with integrated upnp server - not a very good one) - and also an acer notebook with acer arcade on it.

With arcade streaming music and pictures is working, but the n900 only plays music - trying with pictures i recieve a "folder empty" error.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,

Stefan

Hi,

the problem is on the n900.

I changed the upnp-server to uShare, same result. N900 always tells me, image folders are empty.

Any ideas ?

Let me guess, "you flashed it with the latest firmware RX-51_2009SE_2.2009.51-1" correct? same problem here, i can copy a video file to the internal memory or microDS card and it plays fine, when i try to stream the same video shared form media center it gets stuck on the 1st frame but i can hear the audio just fine. Same problem right? I re flashed the firmaware to RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.42-11 and ran the same testes no problems.. as soon as i find a solution i will post it.

I experienced this same issue on 44-1. The inability to view pictures is not a regression in 51-1.

The inability to view certain video files seems to occur with 51-1. This seems to be some kind of an issue with video codecs as some video files do seem to work. The problem is that xvids do not seem to work anymore :/

Actually, now that I think of it, the ability to view pictures from a upnp server is more of an enhancement request for upnp support in Photos than a defect in Media Player.

The video issue, is obviously a new bug introduced with the new software.

All the people experiencing the problem: why not file a bug then?
