And mine was just a guess as well.. if you install rootsh then no.. it wouldn't ask for a pass if it was a sudo/su thing I do not believe..

Do this; install rootsh, then in the personal menu launcher instead of:
python /home/user/MyDocs/sipie.py

run

rootsh python /home/user/MyDocs/sipie.py

and then deselect both the run in terminal and run as root options.. see if that helps.

I don't use Sirius .. can't really test it. I don't see why it shouldn't.. I've used a command with spaces in the launcher of Personal Menu and had no problems.. and since rootsh is like a sudo it should work fine.

But that all depends what the password was coming from..

It's probably the same password that I type in now that comes after:

ssh root@localhost

Right?

That would be my guess.. yes. That's the root password. rootsh allows you to do this without a password at all.

Installing Personal Launcher and Sudser allowed me to open a Sirius stream without manually, first opening X-terminal, and second getting root.

Personal Launcher and Sudser complete both steps for me, awesome!

OK, I THINK I messed up something somewhere.

I installed "Personal Launcher" and I installed (what I believe) is "Sudser" (it shows up in my list of programs), and I have a satellite icon on my desktop (for "Personal Launcher"), but when I click into it, two XTerm Windows open...

First Window: Normal Window waiting for a command.

Second Window: Says: "python: can't open file '/home/user/MyDocs/sipie.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory

Check that - after re-starting, nothing opens. The only time anything happens is when Root & Terminal are NOT checked off - then something comes up saying that Sirius is starting, but then nothing happens.

Also, if I only select Terminal - then the error message listed above comes up and both those XTerm windows open.

Is there something I need to do with "Sudser"...? Where do I do that?

Did you try using rootsh instead?? I have no idea how to use sudser .. you'd have to go search it on the forums. But Personal Menu and rootsh python /home/user/MyDocs/sipie.py should work just fine...
