It's ironic that many of the stock applications are actually fixed to portrait orientation, including the video player when browsing content. I suppose Nokia misinterpreted N900 users when they said they wanted portrait mode. They meant portrait and landscape.

It is possible for third-party applications to implement video playback in portrait mode (my own application does this ), so Nokia might implement this for the stock player before the final release.

Even though I wrote all that, I have no clue where to start either.
I'm sure it'll be solved within a few seconds of the next clue though.
The problem is the message. The moment they'll give us a clue about that, it's a piece of cake!

I've already said earlier today that p can't be 313, it's 317...

I see "RND21" in the dashboard: RND=21 => random=21.
In Elgamal, the random number is x, so x=21
So far:
p>304, g=10, x=21.

21 base 9 is 19

Is 19 a primroot of 304?

19 x 16 = 304

I lost the track but suddently see "0304", "0314" and "0334" as octal numbers 196, 204 ans 220 or 0xc4, 0xcc and 0xdc.

How's that N900 upgrade to MeeGo coming, or do you still recommend just buying an N9 to keep the ball rolling?
Dan the one thing you are missing here is that CM 2.3.4 is not supported by Motorola, it is the hacker community that provided you the update... I agree with your point on meaningful updates and upgrades, however you cannot apply that argument against nokia as motorola is also known for doing a crap job of device updates...

How many android devices are stuck in old versions - I have an Xperia X10 which is stuck at 2.1 waiting on SE to release their long overdue 2.3.3 ROM. The community here has done an excellent job supporting the N900, maemo is a heck of a lot less popular than android (unfortunately) so it is no suprise that XDA and the android hackers turn out new roms for various devices with near continual support.
