FM Radio and Camera both working fine on my N800 with the OS2008 Beta for N800

FM Radio Version 1.5.7
Camera Version 3.4

In the case of the camera I needed to restart my device as something else must have left a process running and was initially locking access to Camera application.

Alarm clock feature for FM Radio looks very handy, like improved applet.

Its a shame headphones need to be connected to provide the ariel on N800 even though we can switch sound output to speakers, what is situation with a N810? (Need to use headphones as ariel, is a known limitation of the N800)

Found the repository courtesy of http://gronmayer.com/it/index.php and the search in repo feature.

PHP Code:
http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com/certified/
chinook user
This is a standard repository I believe, so all you should need to do is update/refresh your list of packages, via the application manager to see FM Radio for installation on OS 2008

Alarm clock with FM Radio is part of the FM Radio applet on the desktop, very neat!

And what with the download FM Radio Station by location feature http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ad.php?t=12846

AAAHH! Now _this_ is what'll make me upgrade! Thanks for reporting. (I mean it. I really wanted this.)

I don't recall a video option in the OS2007 version of the camera app. I agree that it would be nice, would at least give another use of the camera, since I don't know anyone else with a tablet that I can use the video chat with right now.

Thanks very much MikeL but it seems that fmradio and camera disappeared from that repository. I tried from Application Manager and from term with no success.

Nokia-N800-44-4:~# apt-get install fmradio
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
E: Couldn't find package fmradio

I can't understand it.

Are you sure its gone, I just did a search again now on http://gronmayer.com/it/index.php with OS2008 selected using the term "Radio" and it finds the app listed, very strange. It states last update: 12/07/2007 00:53:31 (GMT +0100)

Hmmm but then they have been doing work on Maemo today so perhaps....

I'm also having problems getting anything listed from that repo.

The repo is not on my n800 os2008 by default, so I then add it. It looks like it adds it fine as:

Nokia certified
http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com/certified
chinook
user

Problem is that none of the files are listed in "browse installable applications", even with a refresh from the tools menu. Have also re-flashed n800.

I'm running ver 1.2007.44-4

any suggestions?

Rob

Sorry I don't, I can only confirm that FM Radio and Camera were within this repository at some point, where the following link http://gronmayer.com/it/index.php?la...ow_pck=142#142 shows the Camera and FM Radio within the list of this particular repository.

Perhaps removing and replacing the repository in Application manager would help. (Not sure about this, so try it at your own risk)

Read the warning in the linked page above i.e.
Avoid duplicate entries! If a repository is already installed on your system, avoid installing it again. There appears to be a problem with how this is handled. It only works correctly if you first delete ALL repositories from your system and refresh the application list. After that your system should be able to correctly handle duplicate entries.
