I had this too. I uninstalled some apps I'd recently installed (sorry can't remember which, maybe Marble Maps?) and it went back to normal.
I'd try both uninstalling some recently installed apps...

I opened a blogger account and changed the settings so that it can only be viewed by me. Then I use MaStory app to post a blog.

My device is still on 1.2 and although the arrow icon appears when you swipe from the left, I cannot see a way of selecting the text...so I believe yes, it's new to 1.3.

bbc radio 1 address is:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r1.asx
radio 2 is r2.asx and so on to radio 5 live is r5l.asx
