I'm not understanding your post here. I wasn't proposing to use the Smart Book for Cordia, but rather I want to get it and get Cordia working on it myself. Which is how other people have been doing...

Are we going to be able to implement python scripts/programs like we can right now with Maemo 5?

For a media player, have you looked at Mediabox? It can use mafw and gstreamer. SomePlayer does...

I downloaded knots2 from git, but when I run http://localhost:1978/ in my browser, all it does is continuously refresh. I can't change anything in the tabs.

ETA: Hmm... strange, after a reboot...
