Well CSSU-Thumb will work with Kernel-Power as long as you use KP later than version 51r1. This has the required thumb erreta workaround.

CSSU Testing Thumb2 installs kernel-cssu package to fix some erratas if you don't have kerlnet-power installed. Maybe you've installed power50 on top of kernel-cssu?

The procedure looks correct to me, although the Updating the Firmware (http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_firmware) page notes that you should power down the N900 between flashing the EMMC and rootfs...

I have a basic setup.

Swappolube. Kernel Power. No battery- speed- patch. Undervolted slightly at 600mHz (@37 whatever that is in millivolts).

yes, any sdhc card(mine is class 10) should work, even sdxc

and no, battery drain shouldnt have been caused by an sd card, that is highly improbable, almost impossible...
