My old N900 ( death due unknow reason, maybe y freezed the cpu with the 1150Mhz and 600Mhz DSP )

Well, now i want to talk about the write speeds... I remember, with my old N900, transfering files about 100-200MB write speeds like 15-19MB/s, actually This "new" N900 is trasfering at 8-11MB/s.

Is that normal? i flashed it again, and again, but seems to stay in the same way.

Thanks by the way and excuse my bad englsh,

Yeah sorry had too many beers that evening ^^, anyway, I sometimes heard rumours that some n900 had better performance ratings then others. I have had 3 n900's over the years, and the first one (as far as I can recall) was the fastest. But I can't really be sure ofcourse.

Secondly, when you had the first one, was there an older version of maemo installed on it? Could maybe be related?

Thirdly, do you have other external things in it now? Maybe a sdcard or something like that?

As for the rest, I really don't know.. And I don't even know if any of these things can be related to the problem at all, they are just some ideas to get you going... Atleast I hope they help

all three phones here do around 8-11MB/s
Also, i've notice if your using a hub, it will be slower because it's not on a dedicated usb port.

When N900 is attached as mass storage, i get 3MB/s writes from Linux, 17MB/s from Windows. Go figure.
