One friend of mine, asked to me, he tell me, wants better video quality, and how i did with the HTC Sensation with my mod ( actually recording at 40mbps in Full HD, so amazing quality )

But i dont have to much idea, how it works the N900, because is a diferent Operating System.


So my question is:

1- How works the Camera aplication? is like android ( Camera.apk ), can be decompiled , edited and recompiled with the modifications?

2- There is another file to increase the video recording quality ( btirate ) like android with media_profiles.xml?


I dont know if the N900 still alive, but i think there arent to much developers now.

not sure about the possibility of further increasing the video quality of the device, but if you want to know more about the camera and dsp info, you might want to consult ,

And yes the n900 is still alive, thanks to a wonderful set of people in this community.

But there must be a file with the average bitrate configuration right?

i think this phone at 10mbps bitrate, should be amazing quality in videos.
