Yes, I know there have been multiple other threads on Ovi store issues...have read through them....seems to be very mixed bag regarding what to do...sometimes it was a Ovi store website problem and sometimes other issues....

So, would like to know if Ovi store is working (ie, can get to it and download apps from N900) now for other people.

I was able to get to store a few days ago and download, but now I can't today....

Per other threads, I just installed HideUserAgent. Stil can't access Ovi store site....do I need to do something else now?

Really want to download a few apps there if possible....

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

It's working fine for me (accessing it - I've not tried downloading anything). HideUserAgent will break it though (causes errors about needing newer firmware IIRC), so you need to disable/uninstall it.

Thanks for your reply and info....just uninstalled HideUserAgent and tried again....but still no go....

Address Ovi Store link is trying to connect with is http://link.ovi.mobi/n900ovistore is that same for you?

Also, tried connecting to Ovi < http://www.ovi.com > which changes to http://www.ovi.com/services/ but won't end up connecting to that page either....

I can connect to other webpages...so, browser and my network connection (wifi) is working.....

Any other suggestions?

Accessing OVI store directly just forwarded my connection to an N9 ad webpage. The latest version of OVI suite did not show any apps anymore. The only way I was able to connect to OVI and gain access to apps there was directly through a web browser on my laptop.

Thanks, kobold....

I tried going to ovi.com on n900 and it directed me to address http://m.ovi.me/?nord and that page just has the 'Address Not Found' message on it....

Just clicked on the "store" icon on my N900. I hooked up immediately. Using the browser ovi.nokia.com brings me to www.ovi.com/services. Click on the store link and it opens right up. I am in US using wifi at my home.

That's great that it's working for you, tzsm98.....

I just tried doing what you did (click on store icon and using browser/address..) and it doesn't work for me....page never loads.....

FWIW, I reflashed 1.3 the other day.....but not EMMC...

Browser works OK (wouldn't say great...ie, slow to load pages...) when I visit other websites, but at least they load)....surfing via my wifi network at home in US too.....

UPDATE: Good News & Bad News...

Good News

Good news is that I can connect to Ovi Store easily when connected to wifi network at work.....

However, now I can't figure out why I have such a problem connecting with my wifi network at home!....especially, when I can connect to other websites at home...

Bad News

Besides still not being able to connect to Ovi Store on home wifi network, I now notice that while I was able to download app from Ovi Store, the installation process is having a problem....

File was downloaded and Application Manager opened automatically so could see the blue progress bar....

After file downloaded, message changes to 'Preparing for installation, please wait'. Progress bar has stopped at about 50% complete and a few minutes have gone by.....no more progress made, seems stuck at this point....

UPDATE: Good News

OK, tried downloading/installing again and this time it worked!

Any suggestions about my home network/Ovi Store connection issue?

Seems like I'm having too many performance issues....

Thanks!
