Alright, so i have installed the CSSU transition changer and CSSU features & config.

CSSU features and config just doesnt work, it just says ' CSSU is not installed exiting...'

&

In transition changer most of the options are blanked out.

How would i enable these? please bear in mind im a bit of a noob to linux.

You're installing it wrong. Go read the faq pages again.

The same thing happened to me. I uninstalled the CSSU related things and then reinstalled them and it was working again.

As was pointed out, CSSU is being tested and is not expected to work perfectly for everyone. If that's not good enough for you, don't install it. I think in general it's fine for newbies to try it out, though. You just have to understand the basic situation.

I think it is better to wait for the stable release, if you dont know what ur doing, just wait till the stable release comes out

And if u still want to install it. Keep in mind that there is a chance to Reflash ur device.

Thanks for the link guys, I am due for a reflash and have been considering using this or the 5gig /home partititon image due to obvious space restrictions :?

Could anyone please tell me post a break down of how the n900s internal storage is divided in the CSSU?

Thanks

The CSSU doesn't change anything with the storage (it can't, as it's not flashed to the phone), so you'll have whatever storage setup you had before installing it.
