Does anyone know of a tabbed terminal app for the n900?

Also I was wondering if anyone is able to get nc to install through the repos and if the are any browsers that support socks5 proxies.

I have Firefox installed, but I don't know if it officially supports socks5.

You can install EasyDebian, and do your work from LXTerminal... I know it might seem like a bad idea, and I know that there may be better ways which I'm not aware of... But you'll get many additional things, and I think you'd like it!
There are many How-To's, here's one, from my blog...

I don't know what "nc" is... But the default Maemo browser does support Socks v5... I wrote a How-To for you on my blog

You can try the same with Firefox... I'm 90% sure it will work, as it's Firefox after all!

Hope it helps!

I'm surprised no one ported ROXterm to Maemo5. It's in the Maemo4 repo and works alright. You could probably just download the .deb compiled for Diablo and get it to install in Maemo5 but not that's exactly encouraged.

AFAIK the only terminal available is the pre-installed stock one.

As for NC (netcat?) and the related socat, they are in the repos and work fine; but, microb doesn't support socks, so you'll have to use fennec/firefox. Take a look here.
