End of August, I spilt some water (from a water bottle) on to my phone, at the time, the touchscreen completely stopped working, so i took it apart and left it in the sun to dry out etc, eventually after a couple of days drying, the touchscreen started to work again although at first it was a bit hit and miss.

A month on, the touchscreen seems fine, however the screen goes off at random intervals by itself, so for example i'll be typing a text message and the screen will go black. I can continue to type no problem, but to get the screen back on, I have to flip the lock switch so it locks, then flip it again so it unlocks and the light comes back on.

It happens more frequently in some programs than others, has anyone else encountered this or is this a case of a water damaged phone?

I do have insurance, but i'm not sure the insurance company will even find what the problem is if I send it off as you actually have to use the phone for a bit to see it happen.
