ok thought i would throw this out here for some help.

my home broadband is currently down (bt decided to screw with the local phone lines and have knocked out half my street)

so im using my n900 to tether via bluetooth.

speedtest is giving me a MAXIMUM of about 0.30mbps down and aboutthe same up on speeds and my max download speed of a file is about 44kb/s.

wonderign if others who are using tmobile uk can test and report results ? speeds are same on pc and using n900 itself

am sure i was getting 1-2mbps before

Hmm, if half the street got offline there could be others in your neighborhood going online through 3G, too.
Users on the same cell tower have to share bandwidth.

Yup, Speedtest has always given T-mobile poor ping stats for me too. I have just tried it again with the Birmingham server that is 50miles away and got 0.27 down and 5 up.

Still, I can stream from youtube ok and never really have to wait for pages to load, so I don't mind too much.
