If it takes a long time for a page to load, and then you get a message stating that you need to upgrade your data plan, then yes, they could be blocking your connection.
Try disconnecting the "T-Mobile WAP" connecton, then reconnect.
My T-Mo account is working fine...except for the fact that I'm 3mi. out of a 7Mbs area (Maryland).

They added 110,000 customers in 1 day.

sometimes they mess with the access point name. I had to change mine to internet2.voicestream.com a couple weeks ago. I am not certain if it was t-mobile or the 1.2 update that did this but I put it to internet2.voicestream.com and it has been working great since.
