This post is just news, not a holywar starter. i'm asking not to compare any maemo products with android in any bad ways.

Anyway - check the video. Android has awesome GPS, but only regular one with nice features, but the one where videocamera is interacted.

I think it's something new on mobile GPS

This is awesome...is this actually available for Androids? And is it a fully functional navigation app?

Yes Wikitude was featured in the Qt infomercials Nokia released. Great news for Symbian, not great news for us unfortunately.

They develop for Nokia too.
Maybe they could make this for us

If they can make it for us with symbian in qt then then they can make it for us. The SDK gives you the option to compile for Maemo and Symbian

They can't, the N900 does not have a digital compass which, imo, was a crappy decision by whoever designed the hardware.

Edit:
Wikitude have even addressed the n900 on their "supported devices" page.

Unfortunately the N900 does not have a built in compass, so AR applications like Wikitude are not possible to run on this device.

That's cool, First time I've been jealous of another device, Oh well, can't drive anyway.

but they should release a standalone gps device with these feature. thats gota be the future! lol... wait.... no windscreen just a paper thin lcd screen and software that does this.... too far in the future lol
