I need some help.

I am trying to get the most played songs playlist from media player.
I am programmin in windows on qt using madde for nokia n900.

Should I use mafw?

Or is there another way?

Does the media framework even record that information?

I dont know, but there are files in /home/.mafw-playlist with songs in them
but not all and sometimes they are more in there and some times there are less... do you know what is saved in thos files?

in my heart opinion, the media player has need a musical tag and a system to rating a music.

moreover it needs a significant restructure to gui of creation of playlist. maybe two windows, in the first our library, with all filter (sort by artist, music or genre) and the second with playlist view and some comand such as move, delete and multiple selection.

I am not sure if that metadata is stored but at least there is some way to read play count.
