ovi maps doent get gps signal unless im connected to the internet
tried in open areas, indoors ,different locations couldnt get a gps signal...

There's a bug for it. GPS doesn't work without network. Supposed to be fixed in 1.2

I think my bug spray is working. I've never encountered this.

Could you (cyapalmos) provide us a link? I can't seem to find the bug you mentioned.

Huh? I've used Maemo Mapper without any network connections.

Same. I've used Mapper, Maep, and even Ovi Maps without any incident.

Did you leave A-GPS on?

I've done it without AGPS even, it just takes forever to get a lock.

I found GPS worked ok even when I was away from my home wireless and had taken my SIM chip out. Sometimes being connected say to Tmobile and agps can actually hinder your gps connection, I found.

ovi maps without network connection sucks badly. satelite never ever ever ever locks....
i havent heard if they are fixing this issue with 1.2 firmware..a better answer for gps is sygic-but you have to pay for an genuine version.
