Just bought a perfect UMPC for 400 pounds. It has x86, runs anything I throw at it ( Windows, Linux, Mac ) and it has 1,3 GHz CPU and 1 GB RAM and 32 GB SSD. Keep drinking the Nokia KOOL-AID !!! Please go out now and shell out 500 pounds for a limited ARM computer running some dodgy OS with 1 GB RAM ( 768 SWAP HAHA ) and 500 MHz CPU. KEEP DRINKING THE KOOL-AID !

Yes, you can. You can put inside it a 3G module. BUT, I don't need to make no calls 'cuz I got no friends. I just need to get the Internets so I will get a 3G - WiFi thingy. No need for calls.

so, sensibly.... you got a device that you need, and not a device like the n900 that you had no need for? just a guess

Not entirely sure that merits the effort you have made, and the odd kool-aid phrases... but each to their own

I bought a UX180P a while back. I loved it -- high resolution screen, and Windows everywhere I went.

At the time, I was using Windows and Linux about equally. I started using Linux only more and more on my main computer, and and then I got an N810 when it came out. After that...

My poor UX is sitting -- unused since that day -- on my bookshelf right now. It was a great gadget, but I really should sell it off. Compared to my N810, it got horrible battery life and as incredibly big, but at least had a built in modem. Compared to my N900... yeah. Poor thing.

Great for its time, but it is just strange to me to hear someone promoting one now. Well, maybe that means I could get more money for mine.
