Sadly, I haven't used my n810 in a long time, as my iPhone somewhat took over. I can't even remember my lock code. I don't like unused technology, but recently a neighbor had their house broken into and a laptop stolen. This gave me a few thoughts...

I'm wondering if there's a combination of applications that would let a potentially stolen n810 to silently take pictures and upload its GPS position. I figure it would be great "bait" for a would-be thief.

Ideally it would:
- Associate with any wireless AP it could find
- Take pictures at regular intervals and upload them to an external server
- Upload its GPS position at regular intervals
- Have it send an alert (email) if it's GPS position changed from a set "home" position.

Any thoughts on the possibilities of such a venture?

You've made my day with GPS idea...
It would be very hard for stolen n810 to get the fix... not to be too harsh on n810 - most devices wouldn't.
All actions You've mentioned are quite extensive and would drain the battery very fast.
Any thief would remove battery since he would consider it's a phone.
