It currently has no solid function as of yet except being used in the "Mirror" application I think.
Main problem with it right now is some artifacting forming a band (vertical?) on part of the screen and unless you're in a brightly lit area- (Though I have heard this will be fixed in a firmware update.) the quality suffers immensely anyways. Perhaps in the future someone will include a Skype port that allows you to use it for videochat or something similar, but for now it doesn't do all that much yet.

you can use the cam in amsn for msn videochat as far as i know...

There could be a firmware update from nokia to fix issues too
- will hope! Would be nice to get some good use out of something i've paid for
