Hmm, perhaps there's someone like me looking for a small EVE Online tool on Maemo...? Or is there an app already existing?

EVE Online is a multiplayer online game, there are already existing some apps for Win32 or Java mobiles. For example you can check your current running skills via an API supplied by the developers from EVE Online or check how long it will take to learn something with special attributes set.

Here some links...

Perhaps someone is able to port it?
(I think I've seen some sources somewhere)

Best regards
Andreas

Ahh another EVE Online player

I'd also be interested to see if there is something able to run on Maemo...although my brief searches in the past have turned up nothing.

It looks like java so i don't think so cause as far as i know you cannot run java.

Only other option would be to have someone rewrite it completely and i doubt you can find someone who will do that.

It should be no problem assuming someone can recompile it for maemo. I believe evemon is all python based.Should take minimal effort to get running on the n900 provided we can convince someone to do it. I'd love to be able to get a copy as well.

If they were still running the classic build (the eve client that is) I'd say it could be compiled as well for the n900, but the new build i think is too intensive.

lol yeah - eve on the n900 would be pretty painful to be fair!

Eve mon would be interesting! - is it open source though? - might be worth an email to the dev's

Evemon is open source but it's written in C#, so good luck with that

I'll be playing around making an eve skill monitor widget in the coming days. Haven't touched QT in a few months, so could be interesting

I would love to have this simple widget on my n900. I have two desktop widgets on my gaming pc that just display the current skill in training and time till completion for two characters. Very helpful.
