help!!!

I need some advice:

I have my n800 for about 6 month now, and in the past 1 month the screen was acting kinda weird. in the corners (where I aligned the screen), the input works perfectly.
however, near the middle, everything shifts upwards. And by 1 cm!!! (~1/3 in) that's too much for my uses (handwriting; class note taking).

10 minutes ago, I tried the ultimate solution: reflash. IT DIT NOT HELP!

by now, I see only 4 solutions:
1) bear with it
2)beg for someone who understands the input method in the NIT to develop another tool for screen alignment that would also sample in the middle of the screen
3) wait for the diablo release (too long!)
4) completely destroy the device (beyond the point of reflashing), and send it back to nokia for a replacement.

All other suggestions, as well as help for the steps 2 and 4 are REALLY appreciated.

I just had a thought for the idea #2: is it possible to add another sample point for the tscalibrate? is it as simple as modifying the .conf file (if such exists)
that sample point should be in the middle of the screen (about 400,240), with the same circle drawn around as for the other samples.
is this really so hard, or does this violate the EULA?

Thank you

Ilia
