Yes, start it on X-terminal, but not as "root".

Oooh my God, I am so embarrassed to say what I did or NOT did! I forgot to pair my ELM327. I forgot! SO today when I tried I just remembered that I haven´t done that. So when I did that and then tried again VOILA! Everything started to work.
So my apologize to you! I am sorry for being so ignorant!
Once again thank you for trying to help me
Best regards,
Miro

This looks good, however, when I start it with the .desktop file or from the terminal as a regular user, I get this:

Code:
/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.5/gtk-2.0/gtk/__init__.py:72: GtkWarning: could not open display
  warnings.warn(str(e), _gtk.Warning)
process 20427: arguments to dbus_connection_get_data() were incorrect, assertion "connection != NULL" failed in file dbus-connection.c line 5757.
This is normally a bug in some application using the D-Bus library.

Aborted
I can start it as root fine. I notice this is what the pyobd_start file is trying to do. Shouldn't there be a better way than running the application as root?

Is there a way to access freeze frame data with this (mode 02)?

Also, have you considered porting your changes to the desktop version? I noticed that needs quite a bit of love. Took several changes to the code before I could get it working.

1) Try to start pyobd with the pyobd_start file and let me know what happend

exec /home/opt/pyobd/pyobd_start

2) No, no way to freeze data. You could see logged data.

3) No, sorry... I don't have time to do it.

The output I get when running that command as a normal user is listed above. Exits with 134.

If I have some time, I'll see if I can add DTC freeze frame support to this. Shouldn't be too difficult. Basically the same as the sensor tab, but instead of mode 01 PID queries, querying their mode 02 counterparts. Also wouldn't need to refresh.

Hi, i can't find the "exits with 134" in the log.
Do you use a differrent shell as the normal shell?

I don't understand why you want to freeze DTCs. There aren't continually updated. However, the code is free, so you're free to customize it.

I apologize if that has been brought up before but you need to add python-dbus to your dependencies.
