Hello all,

I am new to the Maemo website but have been using Symbian OS for a while now.

Upon finding out about the Maemo system I am very interested to learn more about its functionality.

I know there are probably hundreds of more qualified users (I am just a keen but very competent phone user) but I would like to become a tester of the new Maemo 6 system - from a users perspective.

If anyone can offer me advice on how to go about this I would be very grateful.

Thanks for the quick reply but the page doesn't seem to exist/work at the moment?

Sorry for that. Had to throw that out there.

I imagine that when Maemo 6 is ready for external testing, a select group of well-known and well-deserving maemo.org members *may* get that opportunity.

No chance you will get to test it yet, or any soon for that matter (Maemo 5 is still brand new).

Well, there is also the fact that it is not known if Maemo 6 will even run on Maemo 5-based hardware.

Either in the usa, or in someone else's pocket
I'm afraid that's pretty much the asking price in europe

Or get an operator to subsidise it for you, for example in Carphone Warehouse.

which means you have to essentially fork out the same amount of money, but in a longer span...
