A little problem i get max 3 to 4 mb/s of data transfer speeds which is really slow via a usb cable no matter any pc i use whereas i get around 16 to 18 mb/s using usb networking via backup menu on the same computers so why this abnormality ?
all hail backupmenu at least after discovering it i have sane tolerable speeds

Nokiabot, there are special swap settings for high rate data, also perhaps swap to SD for data transfers.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paging

I didn't realize paging (swap) had something to do with it. It makes sense, of course, although I still do not quite understand why. I mean, whatever process provides a USB mass storage, it must be a top priority one, right? Therefore it should be permanently paged in. Ergo, swapping should not be involved.
