If I use superzoom in low light conditions there are some light red or blue dots, perhaps something like stuck pixels on the sensor. They are always in the same place.
I don't have that when using the zoom on the normal camera, or when taking non-zoomed pictures.

Could anything be done about that? If it is really the sensor it might be difficult. Perhaps a workaround would be to fill in the part with the average of the surrounding pixels?
(note that I am not really using the zoom in low light conditions, so the question is mostly academic)

hi,
i updated the power-kernel to v42 and the camera app and blessn900 dosent work anymore. i alway get an error - both apps closes after that.
(both apps worked without any problem on power-kernel v40)

there is the same problem on the power-kernel v44.

i thing there is a bug on the power-kernel v42+ or its incompatbile with the modified camera firmware.
(other useres have the same problem with fcam)

with the default kernel (omap1) camera app / blessn900 works normally.

some other informations in this thread:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=65367&page=13

its maybe a blessN900 cam firmware problem?

thanks

EDIT:

now i have deinstalled blessn900 and startet up with the power-kernel v44...
and now the camera app WORKS.
there is a problem with the camera firmware of blessn900, dosent work with the new power-kernel.

When uninstalling blessn900 did you also uninstall fcam-drivers?

So it might be fcam-drivers what caused the problem. You can try installing fcamera package to check this.

I've tried to compare some pics with the normal N900 camera and BlessN900. Is it just me, or is the focal length shorter in BlessN900 than in the normal camera app?

This file doesn't exist!!!
How can it be? What deleted this file? For sure it was not me.
Actually, I have no /opt/share/doc directory... Maybe the file has never existed as the installation failed to create it? Will the application segfault if this file doesn't exist? Can I just touch it or does it need the exact contents?

Except for the copyright file, everything seems to be correct.

What is interesting is that yesterday I succeeded to launch the application once. But when I tried again it refused to start and still goes on refusing today. It worked just once.

Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure that it's enough to touch it, I've attached the file to this post, you can try to create /usr/share/doc/blessn900/ directory and place the file (unzipped) there.
