I know there is either an app or widget for Maemo5/N900 to launch scripts from the desktop, just been a few years and google is not helping me. Please remind me as I want a quick way to launch the current beta of the Pebble watch daemon.

Thanks, that was my fallback option, which I ended up using.

I had some problems or inconveniences with Desktop Command Execution Widget. (But cant remember what is was)

I use desktop files for scripts. But it is kind of rough.

For example

cat /usr/share/applications/hildon/rsync.desktop
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Version=1.0
Name=RsyncDCIM
Comment=rsyncDCIM
Exec=/opt/bin/term-app-launcher -f "Monospace Bold 14" -e /home/user/bin/rsyncDCIM.sh
Icon=terminal
Terminal=true
Type=Application
Categories=Network;
X-HildonDesk-ShowInToolbar=true

What is not so nice is that I havent found a way to enable name&icons on the desktop, so you have to create a icon for every script (or simple remember its location on the desktop)

Desktop folders would be nice too.

Probably for the best, files are easy to hack with a real computer over ssh, I was trying to save some time and do a sloppy job.
