Anyone have any insight / rumor info on when or if Nokia is working on a new Tablet release? I've got the 770 on the brain and want to make sure I don't get something on it's way out.

A slider keyboard would make a massive difference for text entry. Right now it seems like a great web, IM device connecting through your phone or wifi.

Thanks -- what about another rev to the hardware?

You like and recommend it?

Very much recommend nokia 770.

I hardly ever turn on the big computer in the house any more.

When a revision to the hardware comes out (and the only real improvements I really want are - faster cpu, more ram (making it faster), more flash storage, and possibly a tailored gamepad attachment for people like me).

In bed at night, if there's nothing else going on, there's always a fight over Tabby... (as in tabitha twitchett the nokia 770 tablet)

any predictions Mike?

I don't want to purchase this now in October knowing something new and considerably better will be here for December. Nokia did just have a big show in NYC, but it was focused on N-Series...

No predictions. Nokia is like the former USSR -- hard to fathom!

Damn. Well CompUSA has it in stock today ... only 3 miles from my office.

they actually list two SKUs but one is sold out. Any clues... was there actually a hardware rev? thought it was just software which as I understand it is still DIY.

One SKU is OS 2005 , the other 2006.

2006 box looks like this:
