Some like the vicar, others prefer his maid.

I prefer having a single point of contact with any network that involves money. Two, three or seven devices with a modem mean two, three or seven SIM cards and two, three or seven contracts or, in case of prepaid cards, causes of concern that I have to remember to keep topping them up.

Well, the small screen size makes it consume less power; altough you are correct there that using the device as a hotspot is pretty drastic for such a small battery.

950 is not that much smaller than N900's 1200. A smaller screen helps. And you do not keep the hotspot open all the time.

Mind you, I get how this works perhaps for you. But this does absolutely nothing for me in any iteration of how I would like to do any form of communication, media consumption or much of anything in my daily operations.

But that's the thing... there's always variety in how people approach things and I find your acceptance of this product interesting.

Honestly (zero sarcasm), thank you for the insight to an alternative way of looking at devices. I really glean a lot from your posts.

Another docking set up, now via Samsung. If I buy the Note 8 I might get this.

I saw that earlier, but, still... it is android on a big screen OK, you may have multiple windows, but I highly doubt that I could work on it as a real PC or something... even the appropriate softwares aren't there. so, I do not know... for me, chroot-ing kali or ubuntu and connect my n900 to my TV is still the best option
