Hi, I just joined today, I was thinking of getting the n810
and came across this

http://www.lightinthebox.com/Mini-La...PS_p37669.html

I really not sure what processor it is,, is that 266 or is it 400?
I like the design with the game pad. is it possible to install maemo on it? I really not sure how good this would be compared to the
n810. They are in the same price range. but which is the better
unit. I like the fact that this other one has the ethernet option.

any thoughts about which would be best?
thanks,
Zyon, from planet Durex

Welcome Zyondurex ! ( In my country, Durex is a condom brand ! LOL !!!)

Well, it seems you should read yourself the webpage you linked here before asking. The specs are really underwhelming, the CPU is not 400 MHz, obviously, and the screen is very low resolution : 480x272 ... on Nokia tablets it's 800x480.

Clearly this device cannot compare with NIT in any aspect.

If this is a money issue, i would suggest you to get a second hand n800 instead, i got mine, mint condition for 90€

Yeah, specs wise it really doesn't compete with the n800, price wise a nicely used tablet woul dbe a lot cheaper.

Ok, thanks for the reply guys.

looks like I found the name of this thing

http://mx.truveo.com/DGC-IBA-2009-UM.../id/3328818692

but yes, I might go with the n810, or n800 or perhaps wait for
the next one n900 or whatever it will be called.
I am just hoping it won't be $1000 or more
and as for the display size 3.5? I say no...
4.8-5 inches would be better.

OMG, it's almost like deja vu. I've been seeing this thing on craigslist for over a week now and thought someone duct-taped it together in their basement. Odd coming across it here.

Well, it's probably so underpowered because the OEM couldn't afford better hardware thanks in part to the "Microsoft" tax. That'll teach them to sell out to the evil empire.
