Is VNC Server available for the N800?

I've seen the icon for it on Penguinbait's screenshots for ROX but the Maemo website only lists it for the N770.

TIA

Yeah you can get it, although I've been having major issues with trying to get it working on my N800. I think maybe because my Belkin56g router is behind a firewall.

Thanks for the help, guys. I've got it now but haven't yet been able to get it to work. On the other hand, and "time for something completely different", I've been having a go with the latest version of Claws mail, and I'm very surprised at the rich feature set.

VNC took me ages to get working. I basically had to open the port 5900 on my router. Check my short video of Vista running on it...

but guess what, after fiddling about with one the apps I managed to brick my device so now I have to flash it.. but loose everything

I'm using the VNC server from Mike's page and it's working really well! I'm using my laptop to remotely control the N800. The makes entering text data etc much easier, if you don't have a bluetooth keyboard.

I found that if I selected and copied text in the VNC Viewer (of my laptop), I could paste the contents to my laptop fine. But I couldn't copy text from the laptop and paste into the VNC Viewer so that the N800 could receive it. Any ideas?

Thats because there is now clipboard sharing for the N800 as of yet.

I'm using UltraVNC from windows to my n800 and for the most part it works well.

However, it is not possible for me to browse the web on the n800 over a VNC connection. The n800 browser just keeps trying to connect but fails to do so.

Of course, when used manually on the device the browser is fine. Has anyone else experienced this or can please suggest how to fix this?
