Hi everybody!

It has been quite a while since I worked on the original TouchSearch widget for Maemo 5. I am back again because I have been working on a new kind of TouchSearch experience--but for any device.

I had been thinking of doing this for forever and finally did: see it at http://www.touchsearch.org/

This is a web-based version of the software I wrote for Maemo-5 way back when. It has a similar concept and is catching up on functionality. This is meant to be used on a desktop but could be extended to format to mobile devices, like Android, iPhone, Nokia, etc.

I started up a little blog to post announcements here. The old touchsearch website supporting the software can now be found here.

Right now it is not as feature rich as the old TouchSearch. For example, you can't add custom search engines, customize the appearance of the website, or change search engine languages. I would like to bring some of these features to the web interface if people want them.
