Unit 1 works fine - shows me site selections, and the current weather, tonights and tomorrow. When I hit the current icon, I see now, day, and night.

Unit 2 does NOT show me site selection (it will take zip codes) and does NOT show current. When I hit the first icon (night) I get night and next day. If I click "show only current weather..", nothing shows up in the expanded box and I get a ?

Weird !
I need following data are necessary for the solving of this problem from both devices: (Before update weather forecast on both devices)
1. What does show a command 'date' in xterm
2. Your omweather config files (/var/lib/gconf/apps/maemo/omweather/%gconf.xml)
3. Your clock config files (/var/lib/gconf/apps/osso/clock/%gconf.xml)
4. All files from directory /home/user/apps/omweather/

That all

Vlad

Vasvlad
as of this morning, both units are reporting and operating properly. I am suspecting user error. I think the date was entered incorrectly.
Thanks

Hi Antonio.
I installed your config file. And I do not have problem. I have current weather on screen! See screenshort https://garage.maemo.org/frs/downloa...of_NewYork.png

I need additional following data are necessary for the solving your problem from device: (Before update weather forecast )
1. What does show a command 'date' in xterm
2. Your clock config files (/var/lib/gconf/apps/osso/clock/%gconf.xml)
4. All files from directory /home/user/apps/omweather/

Hi vasvlad,

sorry that I could not answer quickly, I was away.

The x-term says: Sat Jan 26 10:46:37 GMT 2008

The files are in the zip file.

Ot of a blue, yesterday it worked for the first time: I could see the NOW weather. Then I lost it again.... A mistery.

Thanks,
Antonio

Hi Antonio.
I think you have wrong date on the device.
You must have EST or GMT-4 timezone for your location.
Try to change your region to English (USA) or English (UK)

Vlad

Thanks Vlad,

I made the change, but it worked for a little, then I lost the NOW data again.

Even with the changed regional setting the xterm def for date remains the same.

It's not broken on my N800. It says there's a thunderstorm coming soon! The symbol is a black cloud with threatening thunder bolts, pretty scary looking.

Here in Agoura Hills, CA, where thunderstorms are rare, but it's been raining for a few days...

This is bad.
Try next: Change Home city for example to Los Angeles. Reboot the device.Bring back Home city to New York.

Vlad
