hey guys.

so after getting the phone working with a fresh flash i cannot install catorise via ham, it just says unable to install,

so i thought i would get the standalone deb, same again...inable to install.

so i tried the apt-get method and received a pukey error....

now its doing this for alot of software and i know there is a bug report but is there anything i can do, reflashing to another pr or....? just seems without the repos my N900 may as well be a paper weight

rootfs (aka fiasco) firmware filename: RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2.*_PR_COMBINED_ARM.bin

eMMC firmware filename:
RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM

That should bring you PR1.3 version with the latest eMMC firmware. Note that I have not mentioned about PR1.3.1 firmware image here but if it is available and you're not planning to use CSSU then you may want to flash eMMC with PR1.3.1 firmware.

I can't seem to get catorise to install either... It indeed just says unable to install..

I updated the firmware via ovi suite.. so the solution posted above probably won't help me...

When i installed the update, i used a backup via ovi suite to reinstall the settings..

any ideas?

Try doing "apt-get install liblocale-gettext-perl" first
then run "apt-get install catorise", it should work, it resolved the same problem for me.. checked it from another thread.
