Hello,
Well, I was drunk (again) and not taking too much care of my dear n900, it fall it the dark (again! I have to say after falling 20 times the beast is very solid!). Well, back home I discover the lens cover was missing... Now I simply can't do anything like photos or flashlight. So do anybody know a way via command line or other to simulate the opening of the lens cover?
Thank you

Dbus should allow you to unleash some commands on the terminal, IIRC. However, the wiki is down at the moment, so you'll have to wait or search google's cached pages.

Weird; it does indeed have random time-outs and is slow but its up... I just updated the migration page too while accessing the phone_control page to check... Maybe its having some issues

I believe so, but if you have access, OP might kiss you on the cheek or buy you a virtual beer if you could zip the Wiki page for him...

Well, I found the wiki pages
http://wiki.maemo.org/Phone_control
http://wiki.maemo.org/N900_dbus
... but I can't find anything about cover lens simulation... I keep on searching...

Uses 'cam_shutter' / GPIO #110.

EDIT: While i can be blamed too (1x SX1 gone in the pool, and 1x N73 drenched in beer - i learned my lessons), better finally take care of your babe or it may leave you forever. N900's can be more precious than most women out there; depending what you value/ what's important to you. Just to say.

This only say if the cam shutter is open or closed but not send the command to open or close it.
