Hey guys!

I am in need of a netbook/notebook alike, you know, N900 is good and all, but I do need something bigger to read and edit pdf, doc, etc.
Is this a good time to start looking for one? Should I wait more? If now, which one?

No tablts please, I need a hardware keyboard. Thanks!

Tablets are expensive, and not quite what I expect, + the keyboard for them, are too much to pay for, if I can have one that comes with it.
I want something versatile that I ca bring in my bag to university, and not have to be turning 100 gadgets on, and running many batteries,
to edit, open office and pdf documents, you know?

Well, hehe, it looks nice, but still, it`s the same size as my N900 keyboard almost! I need somethign to be confortable with while typing...

And this one seems NICE, with the keyboard and all... But the main problem I wouldn`t like to have an apple or android gadget, is that I won`t have the " freedom " a desktop on a linux or a windows could give me, folders at hand,
and have even a mouse! Touchy is Touchy, and touchy screenies
bother me with the lack of those little mouse rats...

Would you guys know if any enterprise is about to release any new piece of hardware?
I know that I can't wait for a new thing to come up, because there will always be another one just coming up after it...

Any more ideas? Thanks so far for the replies!

How about the Asus Eee PC-901?

It is quite good and very portable. Plus you can get a version without windows. And it has been tested to run Ubuntu and Meego.

what is you country?
I'd buy a 10" netbook with hdmi if possible, if not, any dual core netbook cheap enough. Then I'd change the ram, and use a ssd (if rich).
In france I found a netbook without ram or hard disk (so no OS), was perfect for me (just the touchpad is too sensitive, and activates when I type..)

I just got an Eepc R1010 with windows 7 starter. It works but is hellishly slow. XP drivers are available for it though and I'm contemplating installing that instead although my copy would definitely void the warranty. If you could find one with XP preinstalled, buy it. Mine was already partitioned aswell
