Anyway, voting time, I believe. We've had a surprisingly high number of entries this month. It looks like the competition has gathered a momentum, almost lost before.

Voting ends in 72 hours, i.e. at 15:00 GMT on 1 January 2020.

And my vote goes to... 4. eson. I don't know why, it just speaks to me.
My bad, I totally meant to say that my photo was taken with Piggz Advanced Camera on Xperia X running SFOS X.

I was not surprised by the number of participants. Quite a many of us have been waiting for the new device and it is nice to focus on some other community activity.

The camera competition is also a bit more of a community than a fight for profit. Maybe I can't translate my self correctly, sorry.

It's great that these competitions are still fun and fun for me, at least. One reason I stay here. I hope these things will never die.

I agree. This competition is a good thing. Even though some of my reeeaaally awesome pictures didn't get votes. But not everybody can have as perfect eye as I have so I can't blame anyone. Just have to bare ye mortals.

My vote goes to #2 Fellfrosh, for allowing me to type the word chiaroscuro here again. And for the cool photo.

Hey, it's still December!
Let me just quickly add this:
13. nonsuch, Oneplus3, OpenCamera. No editing.

It is clear how this is "cutting edge", yes?

#1. Maemish, N900, BlessN900
The image is a bit small to my taste, only 620x471 even though N900 should yield okayish images without rescaling.
BAckground texture is nice and slight burning in the highlight does not look bad in this composition. Knives stick out at pleasant angles and the composition is nice and tight.

#2. Fellfrosh, Pro1, Sailfish stock camera
Very nice capture, good use of edge lighting; only I'd maybe left the light source (penlight?) out of the frame by cropping more tighthly or tilting the view angle a bit more.
This blade has seen some misuse when judged by the scratches in the tool!

#3. Koiruus, Pro1
"Stainless Steel" indeed
Nice composition, good capture and nice story framing the rusted metal.

#4. eson, Xperia X, stock camera
Very sharp capture, very nice blade!

#5. sulu, N900, BlessN900
Again too small to my taste, only 575x620. In this case maybe forgiven as the picture is obviously meant as a christmas card. Problems in overall sharpness and the colored light obviously creates difficult conditions.

#6. robthebold, camera not specified (unless I missed something)
Focus is not in where one'd expect, in the drillbit and the metal scraps.

#7. DDark, Pro1
size 800x800 is just and just acceptable. Nice stack of blades there.

#8. catbus, N9
Arrgh, 619x348, unacceptable. Dark mood and I have no idea what's the connection even as you explained it... where's the edge?

#9. pichlo, Xperia X, SFOS stock camera
Now this actually is one of the rare images that does not suffer from the puny 620x564 size too much. Antique mood, nice capture.

#10. netman, Pro1
A bit unclear composition, background is distracting.

#11. kinggo, Sony XZ2, stock camera
Nice blade, also nice backquote to the previous theme. Good composition altough the red piece of wood on the background distracts a bit.

#12. Pentona, Xperia 10 Plus, stock camera
Nice well-aged knife, good lightning.

#13. nonsuch, Oneplus3, OpenCamera. No editing.
Nice patterns, so I suppose ice blades can be on the edge

So many good pictures again. As it happens, I had a picture in mind of an old "manual" kind of razor; not the kind they use mowdays, "safety razors" but the real masculine kind of the blade that one can hack ones head off accidentally.
I know I have the blade somewhere but just could not find it!!

...and the winner in my mind, that's #4 by Eson.

@juiceme: The image size is my bad. I should have search for an online storage but have not. So I have had to always downscale the images to 50% to be able to download them here. I have never really used any online storage and do not have my own server running either. Should get some. Would be nice to save and share stuff.
