I am looking for the best application to display the data recorded by GPS recorder. Want displayed in map/track format. I am aware that I could upload to google_maps/earth. Looking for a 'self-contained'
solution for use on N900 & Ubuntu PC. I have tried importing to mappero, no luck.
What do people use for displaying GPS recorder tracks/maps?
Thanks...

I use Modrana or Marble to display tracks. Your issue with mappero makes me wonder if those 2 would work for you. What happens when you import? BTW why not delete the other thread you started?
I will test gps when I can....

I use Track@way on the N9. There is a version for the N900 but i don't know if they are exactly the same.

The UI is not the best one but there is a lot features and it works pretty well

Modrana and marble both work with gps-recorder. Marble is more flexible and displays fuller info on track, working with kml format. Modrana uses gpx and has many more maps.
