TxMySQLExplorer is a MySQL Browser/Editor..
It's still in development stage, and there are currently limited amount of features. But as you can send queries from the app to the MySQL server, you can basically do anything...

Here are some screen shots with current status..

Like TxPad, this app shows additional bars and buttons when the proximity sensor is covered :

Expect TxMySQL Explorer v0.1.0 in a few days, i have few incomplete features and once they are done, a first release (with the source of course) can be published. (It will be available in extras-devel)

Q: Which language is it written with?
A: Its writen in Object Pascal using Lazarus/FPC and uses Qt widgetset.

Q: Can it access to my sql server installed on my laptop? (or where ever)
A: It can access ANY MySQL server as long as you provide its IP...

Q: Which API have you used?
A: It uses raw API from libmysql-client...

The reason i am announcing this is to see if anyone is interested in this application, and if people find it useful i will develop it further.. If not, i will only implement the basic stuff i need...

Nice looking app. Although I probably won't use it myself as I tend to use CLI or phpMyAdmin when in need, and try and avoid doing any webdev on my phone I can see this being very useful for some.

Stupid question: Would a future version have the ability to edit SQLite databases? I know SQLite!=MySQL but they're kinda close cousins!

I have never used SQLite myself, so i'm unfamiliar with its "workings"... I designed TxMySQLExplorer's controls to be all dynamically created and filled with data.. It should be rather easy for someone (maybe even me) with experience in SQLite to implement it...

dbBrowser is a good SQLite editor. Did you try that one?

(The only reason I mentioned SQLite is due to it's heavy use in Maemo. From memory, there is an app kicking around here which allows viewing SQLite db's, but not updating)

edit: Thanks Ade - dbBrowser was what I was thinking of, but it doesn't allow updates.

It's a really nice app if it works as I think, I really need the use of a mysql server in my wifi since syncronizing sqlite is quite hard, also I need mysql "reference vincols rules" which sqlite misses.

Too bad Qt doesn't have mysql plugin already packed in :/

Thanks a lot!

You are right. It does not store modification (I had never tried that), it's only for browsing as the name says.

If you don't know what MySQL is, or you don't use it, you probably don't need this application.
