I still use the N900 as an audio player (despite having used an N9 and now using a BlackBerry) because the audio sounds so good. Beats Audio is, frankly, not considered quality audio. So what I'm wondering is: why?

Because you can , theo's configs are the ones from meego modifed , I also uploaded a version of my own with theo's hexes , disabled protections , lifted quality of pulseaudio (speex-fixed 9) also enabled the digital filter (pcm.real & ctl.real , Unutilised Functions from maemo wiki) , that is named PAudio ,it is in my previous post , also uploaded that. I'm playing with n950's configs now (hexes) , but i don't know when i will complete my audition.
Can you test that and tell-me how does it sound compared to stock?
PAudio

Hi all,

How do I use the new files posted here?

Do I Have to install mafweq.deb, then BeatsAudioDriverV2.0 and finally PAudio?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, Thanks for replying.

But I would like to know if PAudio is an update of Beats Audio or a completely different file.

So should I have to install the 3 files?

I'm asking this because I used to install only Beats and the equalizer. But now that I flashed the phone and that there's a new file available (PAudio), i would like to know which file is obsolete or not.

Thanks.

PAudio is a updated beats(beats aren't beats , just some modified pulseaudio tweaks from meego aplied to maemo's pulseaudio , also PAudio has increased quality to max , so Theo's mod is obsolete compared to this) , also PAudio has disabled protections , max volume at your own risk , also in-call volume is higher , headphones volume , etc , try and listen

install order :
mafweq
PAudio

after that reboot

Yeah thanks for your answer. I found myself that it was an update of BeatsAudioDriver.

It works fine. We can see the difference at the first test.

Thanks for this update.
