Has anybody tried putting alternative OS's on the N9 device yet?

Nemo and Android at least. I don't recall seeing anything else.
Here are instructions for Nemo: http://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Nemo...lling#Nokia_N9

Here inception helping to solve our open-mode without flashing kernel.

So I've only just begun to catch-up on all this buzz about Inception.
Maybe someone can help me... What's the big deal exactly?
I've been following this thread since it's "inception"*, & AIR open-mode gave us all the greatness that Inception does.
Sure it's not as n00b friendly, but once done it's just as useful, & it's not susceptible to being plugged etc.

*missed out on the last wk+ actually.

I think Inception can substitute open mode for most.
However. To get IP tables NAT (I want that for my ettercao port) and packet injection wl1271 enabled. We need to compile new kernel.
Been trying to compile the pr1.2 kernel for a couple of days.
But can't get it to boot completely. Stuck on Nokia image.
I do this
make rm581_defconfig (after adding the net filter stuff in that config file)
Make
It completes, with some not important warnings, and creates the image also.
But it won't boot.
Any input?

So this clears things up a bit more....

But still, I don't see how it's hugely beneficial...
Other than it lowers barrier of entry for end-users, & I guess makes dev work less tedious.
No disrespect to the work done, I applaud an alternative to straight open-mode.

So has anyone posted a patched PR1.2 open kernel yet? I'd like to move off of PR1.1 ASAP.

I promise to post my instructions!
