right and like i said before madde/theme maker will not run on my pc or my laptop which is why i resorted to doing it this way.

id of loved to use a program instead. I do plan on changing every file so nothing is left of the original nokia theme.

need a little help, for some reason when i change the gtkrc image path i end up with the picture below with my menus. ive got the images in /images/ in my dir but refuses to use em, is there another file i need to change aswell? maybe causing a conflict or something?

just like it cant find the images. but the path is right...

You shouldn't have to edit gtkrc file if your just replacing files in Alpha folder. Instead of trying to go around MADDE what problem are you having with it? Theme Maker doesn't work so don't use it.

Anyways i think i sorted that little problem with a bit of common sense....was editing the gtkrc.cache file as well and that was my problem lol....makes a cache when it boots up the gtkrc when used, defintaly a moment where my head hit the desk

EDIT: forgot to add, im not just replacing the alpha folder sort of lol, since the files are now in another directory, if i dont change it, it will use alpha.

Well if your going to do themes by just editing the files, look at pypackage it will allow you to build your theme into a deb or source pacakge right on the phone. Its dirty but it works.

yeah ive already installed it after you saying on another thread, just need to look into it a bit more and find out the command lines for it, so thats no problem, ive pretty much done all the major pics/backgrounds for it now, just doing the painstaking bit of editing all the files... the other major thing is blending the wallpapers, looks nice to you scroll and see this solid grey next to white.

the only thing i cant find atm, is the colour line for the network on the desktop, since its white background against white writing, cant read it, but im guessing its the main colour so the lot will change.

ill post some more pics later on when ive done all the call buttons etc.

The netword indicator is hard-coded white, you can only change it with the Custom Operator Name widget.

ah forgot to update this lol, my bad. The theme itself is done, ive just been ironing out some things with it. im just not sure as to what colour to use for the fonts, at the moment its yellow and dark yellow for default and secondary but against white background it's hard to read but against the others it's fine, and the title bar i think i might change. ill take some screenshots and make a new thread. could do with some ideas to finalize it.
