The "ln -s" in the original post contain "RX-34" which is only valid for an n800. The n810 is RX-44, and the wimax is RX-48, and of course the version strings after that changed with 5.2008. The bootmenu will NOT install the dropbear or telnet if the links are wrong (however you can look at the script, remount initrd as rw and copy them later).
