Has anyone tried to get xboxdrv, the xbox/xbox360 userspace driver working?
It looks like they did it on pandora: http://boards.openpandora.org/index....s-controllers/

Source can be found on this page: http://pingus.seul.org/~grumbel/xboxdrv/

I got this to build ok.

make install fails:
Code:
#make install
install -D xboxdrv """/usr/local"/bin"/xboxdrv"
install: invalid option -- D
editing the Makefile and changing all "-D" to "-d" seemed to do the trick, but I get "permission denied" when I just type xboxdrv in the terminal.

Running the program with ./xboxdrv as root works great. 360 gamepad (as well as several other devices) now working on n900!
The emulators are much more fun now
Next, I need to figure out the packaging. I'm new to this, but I hope to be ready to send it to extras devel in a few days.

I'm still working on packaging, For the time being, If anyone would like to test this, the file is here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/44070237...-binary.tar.gz
you will need to have libboost-thread1.42.0, hostmode-gui, and libusb installed.

To use:
1.Plug in your wired xbox 360 (or xbox) gamepad.
2. Use h-e-n to connect. You may need to press enumerate several times before it responds. You know it worked when the light starts flashing.
3. download the above file and extract it in /home/user
4. cd into the folder.
5. sudo ./xboxdrv
or
sudo ./xboxdrv --config emus.xboxdrv
and
fire up your favorite emulator and set the keyboard controls in the settings.

Anyone know any games that use joystick input /dev/js0/ directly?

Hi,

Could you provide the binary file as the Rapidshare link is not working? I tried to compile it by myself but I did not get the scons to cross-compile to ARM target.. how should it have been done?

Thanks in advance! ;-)

cool, you might want to PM the original poster if you don't get a reply.
all i know about scons is you can build a .deb with the command "scons deb" and that SConstruct file is all the settings used for the build.
i think cross compliling is supposed to be automatic, just have to put scratchbox into arm mode or whatever and it should work.
