Just a little status update, as I reported, MTP is broken on windows, and this I have to admit began when I connected the phone to the pc after force mounting the /dev/mmcblk1p1 to /media/sdcard/UUID as after the modifications to mount points the sdcard would not get mounted automatically. This morning I noticed why it is broken, with my Fat32 32GB sdcard which was always working fine in the phone but still wouldn't work with MTP, df -h command showed that /dev/mmcblk1p1 was mounted on twice one on /media/sdcard/UUID another on /opt/alien/media/sdcard/UUID . So it is obvious the MTP would fail as it has two mount points for the sdcard, plus made my sdcard mounted as read-only. Umounted the one on /opt/... and it solved the read-only issue and restored MTP functionality with the Fat32 sdcard, but still broken with the sdxc.
I think the resetting for the 3rd time is due for my jolla, although I am learning a lot from my misfortunes, and have some rectifications from Leinard script that makes it work everytime, but still need a fix for sdxc not being mounted after the customization

Another interesting discovery on my windows pc with regards to mounting ext4 sdxc using ext2 software, after I used the software ot mount it once, now every time I put the sdcard it is automatically by windows without needing to use the software and now it doesn't see it as some fat or similar filesystem but as the ext4 it is, now that is surely a most have for those using windows pc like myself and interested in using sdxc on their jolla. here is the link to the file https://sourceforge.net/projects/ext2fsd/
I will be back with more updates

Hi guys...
after a reset and going on with the tutorial, my df -h output is different and all the side effects are also gone, MTP works, although shows the sdcard as empty and only copies files to the mass storage no big deal, but unlike previous attempts, my sdcard is mounted by jolla and can be used too. I am on 1.1.1.27 so the tutorial still needs to be polished for lates releases as it works best on older SFOS. Want to update my firmware and see what changes...

here is my df -h output
