Anyone else have difficulty getting this to work on Vista Home? I read that there might be a patch out there to get it working is this so?
I followed suggested settings from various tutorials around the net-
nothing seems to work for me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure about Vista (and it's various flavors), but with XP, you need to have XP Pro to connect with RDesktop. RDesktop works great for XP Pro connections from within in your own LAN. It helps to set the PC to a fixed rather than automatically provided IP in network properties on the PC.

For truly remote connections of your PC to your tablet browser, take a look at logmein.com. This works within your LAN or not.

Just to note, the current version of Rdesktop doesn't work with OS2008.

is this still the case? i'm running os2008 on my n800 and got rdesktop from the default repositories in the application manager, so i suppose the version i use is supposed to work.

wehn running rdesktop with the console open, the following error appears:

Code:
desktop[1326]: GLIB WARNING ** Gtk - gtk_widget_size_allocate(): attempt to allocate widget with width -24 and height 0
rdesktop[1326]: GLIB WARNING ** GLib-GObject - IA__g_object_set_valist: object class `GtkEntry' has no property named `autocap'

rdesktop[1326]: GLIB WARNING ** GLib-GObject - IA__g_object_set_valist: object class `GtkEntry' has no property named `autocap'
ERROR: connect: No route to host
i'm behind a router and tried the following so far:
i set up a new account in windows xp, activated remote desktop support and deactivated windows firewall.
on the tablet, i entered the account information i created in windows and set the domain to that of my computer.

rdesktop just keeps shutting down, this is getting really frustrating...
any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
